How We Select the Software We Support A look at AcCounting OnComputers Incorporated annual software search objectives and results Each year we commit resources to analyze, investigate, and recommend a variety of accounting software systems. We look to support the highest quality packages (based on software reviews, industry recognition, requested features, and company reputation). With the right combination of packages, we are able to recommend software for small to large businesses running a variety of operating system platforms. The majority of our analysis is now done online through web searches, attending webinars, following industry news, and reviewing various web-sites. In addition to our web research, we talk with other industry specialists, our contacts, and software manufacturers. Following this review, we set a level of commitment to each package, including: Full Support (FS). We maintain a full reference library, access to technical support, and at least two trained specialists. Limited Support (LS). We maintain a limited reference library, access to technical support, and at least one trained specialist. Emergency Support (ES). Provide support with limited resources in order to assist specific clients or address special circumstances. Referred Out (RO). Support is referred to other consultants. To Be Determined (TD). As a package's popularity fluctuates, our
commitment is based on client needs. Generally this rating is for packages that
either (1) are gaining a solid reputation or client demand or (2) were previously
supported at a higher level. |
